Chief of the Transplant Unit of the Parma University Hospital. He is a transplant nephrologist, with
main research actvities focused onstrategies to expand donor pool and on evaluation of living
donors. He is knowledgeable in Biostatics and Epidemiology (MSc), have participated in the
development of Italian (SITO) and European (ERBP) Guidelines and position papers on
transplantation. He is the Vice-President of the ERA-EDTA DESCARTES working group on
Transplantation (http://www.era-edta.org/descartes/descartes.htm), distinguished Fellow of the
ERA-EDTA (F.E.R.A), Deputy Editor of Transplantation Review.
